Driving Lessons Gloucester - Team Member, Jess Barker, ADI. 26th September 2017.

Jess Barker is the newest addition to the John Lowe Driving team, and offers a fun and friendly approach to learning to drive. Her easy going and calm nature means that her driving lessons are stress free.

We are very pleased that Jess chose to join our driving school, as she brings with her the latest skills and is very much up to date with all the driving test changes that are on the near horizon.
Jess is chatty by nature and will help you to feel comfortable while preparing for real life driving situations. She drives a brand new Nissan Juke, which is easy and fun to drive!

Warm Regards,
Tom & Lisa Lowe.

Driving Lessons Gloucester - A Driving Instructor Review from Jess Barker ADI - 25th September 2017.

"I have been a driving instructor for 5 months with John Lowe Driving, and could not recommend a better driving school to work for.

Tom Lowe, who is the school owner, gave me top-rate training to get me through the "part 3" tests, which are the "finals" for the full driving instructor qualification and are very demanding. Tom now offers me continual support and guidance, so I can deliver driving lessons to the same high standard as himself.

John Lowe Driving has great franchise deals, so fees are extremely fair and everybody benefits. The number of students that I teach has tripled since joining the team, and Lisa makes sure I am never without business.

Working for a school with such a great reputation makes going to work easy and teaching my students to drive, a lot of fun!
Thanks, Tom and Lisa!"

Driving Lessons Gloucester - Driving Test Pass - Alice Davis of Huntley, Gloucester, 15th Sept, 2017

Congratulations to Alice Davis on her very impressive first time driving test pass on September 15th 2017.
Alice took her test at Gloucester Driving Test Centre with her driving instructor,Tom Lowe, and passed at the first attempt with only two minor faults. She is off to University in a few days, so her full driving licence will really help.
Alice came to John Lowe Driving for her driving lessons, as her sister Annie also passed her test with Tom in 2016.
Tom sends his best wishes and all of us at John Lowe Driving wish Alice all the best for the future, welcome her to the first time pass club, and thank her for using our driving school.

Warm Regards,
Tom Lowe.

Driving Lessons Gloucester - DVSA Warns of Examiners Strike.

DVSA driving examiners and vehicle testing staff, who are members of the PCS, (Public and Commercial Services Union) are currently being balloted for industrial action.

This is a long running dispute over travel time, health and safety and further changes to their terms and conditions.

The DVSA intends to give managers the ability to deploy staff anywhere they choose, without notice, creating a "flexible working" regime. Staff would be expected to travel to these deployments in their own time.

It is said that these arrangements could mean that workers could end up effectively working the equivalent of an extra day each week for free.

This stalemate has been in the process since 2015, with PCS claiming that DVSA and the Department for Transport still refuse to resolve the issues.

Oh well! Life goes on, but the sooner this can be sorted out, the better, especially with the driving test changes rapidly approaching.

Warm Regards,
Tom Lowe.

Driving Lessons Gloucester, - ADI Part 3 Changes Have Been Delayed.

The changes to the ADI Part 3 assessment will not now take place on October 2nd 2017, as the Government Legal Department cannot meet the final deadline in time.

The DVSA has decided to delay the implementation date and are hoping things will be in place to make the changes later in October 2017.

This obviously causes problems and anxiety for PDI's who have their part 3 test booked in the first couple of weeks of October.
These people will be contacted by the DVSA and will be given the choice of postponing their test to a later date, or keeping their test date and taking their test in the current format of pre-set tests.

It's a dilemma and a difficult decision, but probably the best approach would be to take the test that relates to the training that has been undertaken.

If any of you out there in the Gloucester area overcome these hurdles and pass your part 3, we are always on the lookout for quality driving instructors, manual or automatic, and have a great working atmosphere with plenty of students waiting to get started.

You will always be busy with John Lowe Driving.

Call us on 01452 313713 if you would like to join us.

Warm Regards,
Tom Lowe,

Driving Lessons Gloucester - Driving Test Pass - Jordi Tarrant of Abbeymead, 29th August, 2017

Congratulations to Jordi Tarrant of Abbeymead on a well deserved driving test pass on August 29th 2017 at Gloucester Driving Test Centre. Jordi drove consistently well in ever changing weather conditions during his test and achieved a great pass.
Jordi had worked hard in his driving lessons, always making sure he had regular lessons, with his driving instructor, Tom Lowe, which made a real difference.
Jordi said he was thrilled with the result, and said that he had chosen John Lowe Driving, after his sister, Jorja, had passed her test with Tom, a few years ago.
Jordi also wanted to thank Tom for getting him through his test.
All of us at John Lowe Driving wish Jordi all the best in his future driving, send our greetings to Jorja, and thank them both for using our driving school.

Warm Regards,
Tom Lowe,
