Is This A Record?

German police have reported that an 18 year old has recently managed to lose his driving licence just 49 minutes after passing his driving test!

He was on his way back from the test centre, when his car was checked with a laser speed gun and was found to be travelling at twice the speed limit, 60mph in a 30mph zone.

The German police officer wrote in his report that “some things last forever – others not for an hour.”

The police added that he had four friends in the car and suggested that he may have been trying to impress them with his driving skills.

The teenager has been formally banned for a month, but will only get his licence back after what police describe as “expensive retraining.” He has also been fined 200 euros, been awarded penalty points and a four year probationary period as a new driver.

Holding a full licence for 49 minutes is probably a record, unless anybody out there knows better!

Driving Lessons Gloucester - Driving Test Pass - Will James of Gloucester - November 5th 2018.

Congratulations to Will James of Upton St. Leonards, Gloucester, who passed his driving test on November 5th 2018, with his instructor, JessBarker.

Driving Lessons Gloucester - Driving Test Pass - Oliver Perkins of Churchdown - 30th October 2018

Huge congratulations to Oliver Perkins of Churchdown, on joining the first time pass club on 30th October 2018. 
He performed excellently on the day and was overjoyed with the result. Oliver wished to thank his instructor, Tom Lowe, and is now looking forward to the freedom of being able to drive.

Driving lessons Gloucester - Driving Test Pass - Laura of Gloucester - 1st November 2018.

A very special driving test pass for Laura of Gloucester, who achieved a perfect pass on November 1st, 2018, with her instructor, Sara Povey,scoring zero driving faults! This level of driving requires a lot of concentration and ability and must be recognised as something special. So, congratulations to Laura who did the hard work and to Sara who coached her so well.

Here’s what her instructor Sara had to say:

“Laura did amazingly, passing with an incredible zero driving faults and she got there because she understood that to be a good safe driver, all of the requirements for the test, in terms of what is regarded as a fault, takes discipline to implement.

Now that Laura has worked hard to gain a test pass, she has the perfect foundations to handle any situation on the road and as she gains more experience, her disciplined approach will keep her safe. Just to add…I really enjoyed our lessons and wish Laura the best for the future.”
