"My motorway experience was really positive."
"I passed my driving test a short while ago and decided that I should get some motorway experience. I got back in touch with my driving instructor, Tom Lowe, who runs John Lowe Driving, where I had my driving lessons, and we made arrangements and met up for a two hour motorway lesson.

At first, we discussed motorway procedure including speeds, lane discipline and overtaking and then we headed to the M5 at Gloucester. We joined the motorway and went south to Cribs Causeway in Bristol. We then turned around at the motorway junction and drove back up to Tewkesbury, where we again left the motorway and then rejoined it to continue our return to Gloucester. I made full use of speed, proper use of lanes and did plenty of overtaking! Throughout the lesson, Tom was keeping me informed of other differences that can occur on the motorway.

The experience was really positive and I am now confident to plan some summer road trips around the country, using the motorway network."

" I had held a U.S. licence for 30 years, when we moved back to England, and knew that I would have to pass a U.K. driving test. Where to start? We phoned a few of the national driving schools, who seemed pretty unhelpful. We then tried John Lowe Driving School, who had the automatic car I was looking for and Lis in the office was so helpful and friendly, that I booked up. John Lowe was my automatic instructor, and he took me through each stage and I was ready for my test pretty quickly.

At the beginning of the lesson, my driving instructor, John Lowe, and me discussed how we should approach the session, and we decided to look at reversing into a parking bay, something that I thought would be really difficult. John explained that it can be very difficult if you use just guesswork, but if you have a system, it's not so hard. John explained his system very simply and talked me through the first attempt, and I reversed into the bay. I then had another try, with him just giving me prompts, and I succeeded again.
